Motors Insulation Class
There are many kinds of motors, different types of motors are widely applied in various equipments, vechles and appliances. How to define the motor insulation class during new product development? it depends on the maximum potential components temperature. the real components temperature should be under the max allowable temperature of the motor/components class (temperature), and the temperature rise of components should be under the permission too.
Normally, the real temperature of the motor drop 10℃ (at the max allowable temperature area), the motor life could be double.
Below the chart of motor life vs motor temperatures and the motors insulation class.
Normall there are A (105℃), E (120℃), B (130℃), F(155℃), H(180℃), 5 insulation classes. the definiations are showed as below chart. Select to proper insulation class for speicfied proudcts should be based on the appilcation and the quality requirement of the equipments/appliances.
Shaded Pole Motors and Universal Motors are widely used in many home appliances because low cost, easy to manufacture and stable quality.
